The Gitxaała are one of many Nations on the Pacific Northwest who participate in the annual Canoe Journey; a journey that strengthens their culture, community, and families. Historical cultural practices, from weaving, preparing fish, gift ceremonies, to song and dance enrich the lives of its community members and First Nations along the coast.
It has been an honour to witness and photograph this beautiful event for the last three years.
